Mismatched is a new Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama web-based show on Netflix that is inspired by Sandhya Menon's novel, When Dimple Met Rishi. It was written by Nipun Dharmadhikari and Akarsh Khaurana. Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies produced it. It stars Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Rannvijay Singha, and Vidya Malvade, who play prominent roles. The show revolves around Rishi, a die-hard romantic who believes in traditional dating practices, who falls for Dimple who is a gamer and eventually wants to marry her.Dhaliwal modified the novel in early 2018 with the script being revised for the show. The novel was set in the United States but the story was altered to Jaipur. Avinash Arun and Milind Joga directed the film, while Namrata Rao and Sanyukta Kasa edited the series. Mismatched has an album of music composed produced by Jasleen royal, Samar Grewal and Prateek Kuhad. Shashwat Sing, Deepa Unnikrishnan (Taaruk Raina), Prateek Kuhad and Shashwat Sidhu, aswell as Saikia who composed the music for the background.
