Melinda French Gates

 French Gates's first position was to teach children math and computer programming. She was responsible for developing multimedia products . She was a Microsoft marketing manager following her graduation. Encarta, Publisher, Encarta, Encarta, Encarta, Encarta, Microsoft Bob, Money, Works Macintosh, and Word were only some of her titles. She was also employed by Expedia which is one of the world's most famous travel websites. In the early 1990s French Gates was appointed as the General Manager of Information Products, a position which she held until 1996 She resigned from Microsoft that year, reportedly, to focus on starting a family.French Gates was the Duke University's Board of Trustees from 1996 until 2003. She is a regular attendee at every year at the Bilderberg Group conference and has held a seat on the Board of Directors of Graham Holdings (formerly The Washington Post Company) since 2004. She was also a part of the Drugstore.com board of directors but she quit in August 2006 to concentrate on charitable causes. French Gates has been an active public figure since. She stated "As I thought of strong women from the past I realized that they stood out in a specific manner." This has allowed her work to become recognized while also influencing and achieving the goals of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2014, Bill and Melinda had given US$28 billion from their personal assets to the Foundation. French Gates, a man who had been the inheritor of a large amount of wealth, created Pivotal Ventures in 2015 to assist in the search for, developing, and implement innovative solutions to problems facing the American women and their families.
