David Hyde Pierce

 American actor David Hyde Pierce was born on the 3rd of April 1959. From 1993 until 2004, he starred in the role of psychiatrist Dr. Niles Krane on the NBC sitcom Frasier. He received four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award. Pierce was also awarded the 2007 Tony Award for playing Lieutenant Frank Cioffi in the musical Curtains. Pierce is also well-known for his role as Frank Prady in eight episodes of the legal drama on television The Good Wife, and Henry Newman in the comedy film Wet Hot American Summer and its subsequent television spin-offs.Pierce has been in supporting roles in many films that include Joan Micklin's Crossing Delancey (1988), Terry Gilliam's The Fisher King (1991), Nora Ephron's Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Mike Nichols' Wolf (1994) as well as Oliver Stone's Nixon (1995). In addition, he was in Down with Love (2003, 2001) and The Perfect Host (2010). His voice work includes Disney Pixar's A Bug's Life (1998), Osmosis Jones (2001) and Treasure Planet (2002).Besides his performance in Curtains, Pierce also had Broadway roles in the roles of Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot, Vanya in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike and Horace Vandergelder in the 2017 revival of Hello, Dolly! Pierce was twice nominated for the Tony Award for these roles.
