Lamar Odom

 Lamar Joseph Odom (born November 6th, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player. Odom was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and won championships in 2009, 2010 , and 2011. He was also named the NBA Sixth Man-of-the-Year in the year 2011. In high school, Odom won Parade's national player of the year honor in 1997. He played college basketball for the University of Rhode Island, receiving all-conference accolades in his one season with the Atlantic 10 Conference before turning professional. The Los Angeles Clippers selected Odom with the 4th overall selection in the first round of the 1999 NBA draft. He was selected to the NBA All-Rookie Team in the following year. It was during his four seasons with the Clippers however that he was twice suspended for violation of the league's anti-drug policies. Odom signed as an restricted-free agent for the Miami Heat and played the 2003-04 season there before being traded to Los Angeles. Odom played for seven seasons with the Lakers before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks. After the move his career was slowed. He was traded to the Clippers in 2012 and then played briefly in Spain in 2014. Odom played for the United States national team, winning a bronze medal in the 2004 Olympics in 2004 and a gold medal in the FIBA World Championship (later known as the World Cup) in 2010Odom was married to Khloe Kardashian from 2009 to 2016. In the course of their marriage, Odom made several appearances on the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Odom and Kardashian also had their own reality series, Khloe & Lamar. Odom was found unconscious in an Nevada brothel and was taken to an Nevada hospital in a condition known as a coma. Odom later sought treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
