The ood Wars : Shokugeki no Soma (Japanese: Shi Ji nosoma, Hepburn: Shokugeki no Soma, lit. "Soma of the Shokugeki" is a Japanese manga series written by Yuto Tsukuda wrote and Shun Saeki illustrated. It was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from November 2012 to June 2019. The chapters were collected in 36 tankobon volumes released by Shueisha. The series follows a chef who enrolls at an elite culinary school which offers cooking competitions. Yuki Morisaki also works as an editor, and provides the recipes to the show. Viz Media North America has licensed the manga. They have been publishing the manga digitally since March 2014 and published the first volume in August 2014. The manga series received more than 20 million.An anime adaptation by J.C.Staff aired between April and September 2015. The season 2 was called Food Wars! The Second Plate aired between July between July and September 2016. The premiere episode of the season's third named Food Wars! The Third Plate aired from October 2017 to December 2017. The second part aired from April to June 2018. The fourth season, which was titled Food Wars! Between October and the end of December The Fourth Plate aired. The fifth and final season named Food Wars! Between April until September 2020, The Fifth Plate aired. The show also featured a pair of video games released in 2015. There have been mixed reviews by fans of the show, with some applauding the stories and authentic recipes and others expressing displeasure at the use of excessive fan-based service.
