"He has declared himself an intellectual, social democrat, agnostic atheist, secular humanist left-wing populist, and left-libertarian. He describes his views as moderate by international political standards, arguing that he's only far-left and extreme within the United States because "the spectrum of public discourse has shifted to the far-right".
