Charlie Watts

 Charles Robert Watts was born on June 2, 1941, and died on August 24, 2021. He was an English musician. Watts began playing drums in London's rhythm & blues clubs. It was there that he met his future bandmates Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. In January 1963, Watts resigned from Blues Incorporated to join the Rolling Stones. He also played the role of their stage design and drummer. Watts made his first public appearance as an official member in February 1963. He remained with them for another 58 years. Jagger nicknamed Watts "The Wembley Whammer" due to his passion for jazz. Watts, Jagger, and Richards were the last members of the group who were on all their albums. Apart from his time with the Rolling Stones, Watts toured with his own group called the Charlie Watts Quintet, and appeared in London at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club as part of the Charlie Watts Tentet.In 1989, Watts was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2004 the year he was admitted into the UK Music Hall of Fame alongside the Rolling Stones. He is often considered one of the greatest drummers to ever live.
