Chadwick Boseman

 Chadwick Aaron Boseman, /'boUzm@n29 November 1976 [a]-August 28, 2021), was an American actor. Boseman was nominated for an Academy Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards. He also won an Critics Choice Film Award and a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. He was also nominated for an Academy Award.After taking directing classes at Howard University, Boseman began his career in theatre and was awarded the Drama League Directing Fellowship and an acting AUDELCO with a Jeff Award nomination for his 2005 play Deep Azure. His first role on television was as a series regular on the NBC drama Persons Unknown (2010). He was then offered his first major part in the role of Jackie Robinson, a baseball player in the biographical film 42. He continued to portray historical characters, appearing in the role of singer James Brown in Get on Up (2014) and as a young Thurgood Marshall in Marshall (2017).Boseman became famous worldwide as the Marvel Comics superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019. He was in four MCU films, including the named film in 2018 that won the actor an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in an Motion Picture and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best performance by a Cast member in an Motion Picture. He was also the first actor of African descent to play the MCU's primary actor in a movie. Boseman's final appearance as the main character of the Disney+ anthology series What If ...? (2021) was rewarded with an honorary Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over of a Character.
