Bill Cosby

 William Henry Cosby Jr. (/kazbi/KOZ-bee; July 12, 1937) was a popular American comedian, actor and media celebrity. He has been a significant contributor to American as well as African American culture. He earned the title "America's Dad" because of his role as Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show (1984-1992). He has received many honorary degrees and awards throughout his career. A number of them were cancelled following sexual assault allegations against him in 2014. He released several standup comedy albums , which have earned him the Grammy Award in 1965 and 1970. He was also a star in the crime drama I Spy (1965-1968), alongside Robert Culp. Cosby was a pioneer when he was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1966, being the first African American to earn an Emmy Award for acting. He continued his acting career when he appeared in The Bill Cosby show, which ran for 2 seasons from 1969 through 1971.
