Alba Baptista began her career at the age of 16 when she played the lead character in Simao Cayatte's short film Miami. Her performance was so impressive that she won the Best Actress Award at the Festival Iberico de Cine. Alba continued her acting career through her appearance in the Portuguese series A Criacao as well as the telenovelas A Impostora, and Jogo Duplo. She also starred in three of the most well-known Portuguese series. Caminhos Magnetykos where she was "Catarina", and Equinocio (directed by Ivo Ferreira) are two examples of her work in film. She starred in Patrick, Goncalo Waddington's directorial debut, in the year 2019. It debuted at San Sebastian International Film Festival. She was a part of Fatima in the year 2020. It was which was the first directorial debut of Goncalo Wddington. It was in competition at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, where it premiered.
