Tiffani Thiessen

 Thiessen was part of beauty pageants when she was a kid and was awarded Miss Junior America in 1987. She was named Teen magazine's "Great Model Search" winner in 1989. In 1989, she was named Cover Girl's "Model of the Year" and was offered her first role of Kelly Kapowski on NBC's television sitcom Saved by the Bell, playing until the show's end in 1993. Thiessen was rewarded with Young Artist Award nominations in 1990 for Outstanding Young Ensemble Cast and in 1993 for Best Young Actress in an Off Primetime Series. In addition, Thiessen guest-starred on series such as Married... with Children, Charles in Charge and Step by Step. Her first appearance on television was with Son in Law in 1993, and she starred in Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style in 1992. In 1994, she appeared in Saved by the Bell's single-season spin-off Saved by the Bell, The College Years (1993-1994), and in Saved by the bell's television movie Saved by the Bell - Wedding in Las Vegas (1994) that marked the end of the original Saved by the Bell series. In 1994, after her stint on Saved by the Bell had been over, Thiessen landed the role as Valerie Malone in Fox's Aaron Spelling-produced hit teen-drama Beverly Hills, 90210, to fill in the gap left by Shannen Doherty's departure. She was the first actress to join the main cast directly , and she played Valerie until 1998, when she was axed from the show's ninth season. In the course of starring on 90210, Thiessen began to play a variety of dramatic lead parts in TV movies: The Stranger Beside Me (1995) and She Fought Alone (1995), Sweet Dreams and Buried Secrets in 1996. After her departure from the show, she appeared in several films which included Speedway Junky (1999), From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money (1999), Love Stinks (1999) and The Ladies Man (2000) She also appeared on NewsRadio (1999), Two Guys and a Girl (2000), Just Shoot Me! (2001) as well as Good Morning, Miami (2003-04). The first time she was featured was in a music video by Vertical Horizon in 2000. She also decided to drop her name as her middle initial, which she used professionally for many years. She is now Tiffani Thiessen. [5] Thiessen was the first option Spelling considered to take over the role of Doherty in the TV series Charmed in 2001, but she declined his offer as she was hoping that the NBC pilot of Everything But the Girl would be taken on. The role ultimately was given to Rose McGowan.
