Peyton Williams Manning, born on the 24th of March, 1976 Peyton Williams Manning, born March 24, 1976, is an American former football quarterback who was a member of the National Football League (NFL). Manning was a former player in the NFL for 18 seasons. He was known as "the Sheriff",he spent 14 seasons playing for the Indianapolis Colts and four with the Denver Broncos. Manning is considered to be one of the best quarterbacks of all time. He is a member of the Manning football family, second son of the former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, and the older brother of the former NFL quarterback Eli Manning. He played his college football at Tennessee and was awarded the Maxwell, Davey O'Brien, and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards when he was a senior en route to winning the 1997 SEC Championship. The Colts picked Manning at the beginning of the 1998 NFL Draft. He was their primary quarterback from 1998 until the year 2010. Manning helped to transform the Colts into playoff contenders by helping them win 11 playoff runs and eight division titles. He also served as their quarterback of choice from 1998 until 2010. Manning was named Super Bowl MVP during the win. Manning was out for the 2011 season due to neck surgery. Manning was then released by the Colts, and signed with Denver. Serving as the Broncos the first quarterback from 2012 until the year 2015, he assisted them to finish their season in the top division and even win two Super Bowls. Manning's career ended with a win in Super Bowl 50, making Manning the first quarterback to win the Super Bowl for more than one team.
