Cox started her career as a dancer when she was just four years old, in ballet productions of various kinds. At the age of 10 Cox began acting. She appeared in numerous movies and was a guest star on various shows which included Mama's Family as well as Star Trek: The Next Generation. Her brother Matthew guest-starred on a few episodes and one of them was where the actor wore a Ghostface mask (the similar type of mask featured in Scream). Matthew the brother of her, guest starred in a few episodes. One episode had him wearing an Ghostface mask (similar similar to that worn by Scream). Taylor Clayton was played by Cox in the sitcom of ABC, The Norm Show. She played in 27 episodes. In the following season, she was the lead character of Nikki White on Nikki (2000-2002).
