Lynda Carter

The fictional superhero character was created by the American psychologist and author William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Peter in 1941 for DC Comics. The character was created in response to the popularity of Superman, Marston designed his creation to counter-programme the Man of Steel. The Diana Prince/Wonder Woman character is also called the Amazing Amazon, the Spirit of Truth as well as Themyscira's champion and the Goddess of Love and War. Wonder Woman was an instant success with readers and quickly became the most well-known DC comic book female superhero.Carter's acting career took off when she was cast in the lead role on Wonder Woman in the year 1975 as the title c

haracter and her identity was secret, Diana Prince. The savings she had saved up from her years of touring on the road with her band[16] in order to explore acting opportunities in Los Angeles were almost exhausted. Carter stated publicly that she had $25 in her bank account on the day she was approached for the role. She was near getting back to Arizona when her manager told her that Joanna Cassidy had lost the role , and that Carter had the part of Wonder Woman. Carter's earnest performance greatly endeared her to both fans and critics and as a result she is very much associated with Wonder Woman.
