 are landed a small role in the film Bonanno: A Godfather's Story during her final year in high school, which led her to consider acting as a career. Also, she was part of an episode on Campus' horror series Big Wolf (1999) and also in the French film En Vacances (2001). After leaving Dawson College's fine arts program she continued to pursue acting for two more years. Three years ago she was employed as photographer's assistant for automotive photo shoots.After Pare auditioned for a role in the film that was made by an independent company Stardom (2000) and director Denys Arcand chose her to play the lead role in the movie. She played a childish athlete in ice hockey who is destined to fame and international recognition as a supermodel. The comedic satire closed the 2000 Cannes Film Festival with mixed reviews from critics. Following the film's premier, Pare was voted the "it girl" in Canada's film industry. Pare was also listed as among the top 25 Most Beautiful People in 2012 by People 14 in 2012, which is one of only a handful of Canadian citizens to receive this status. The next film she made was Lost and Delirious (2001), which tells the story of two lovers in love who are made to live in a girl's' boarding house. The film debuted to mixed reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. However, the performances of Pare, Piper Perabo and Mischa Barton were widely applauded. 15 years ago, Pare was a part of the TV miniseries Random Passage (2002), inspired by a collection of novels that won awards by Bernice Morgan. [16] She also was Napoleon's mistress in the television miniseries. Also, that year she made a brief appearance as a pop-star in Deepa Mehta's Hollywood/Bollywood (2002). The next year she was a star in the thriller film Posers about girl groups. Then she was in The Death and Life Of Nancy Eaton on CTV as the main character as Nancy Eaton.
