 Christopher Maurice Brown, born May 5 1989 is an American singer-songwriter and dancer, actor and actor. According to Billboard, Brown is one of the most successful R&B performers of his generation,[2][3frequently being called by his contemporaries as the "King of R&B". His style is described as polyhedric, with his R&B being characterized by several influences from other genres, mainly pop and hip hop. His lyrics focus on themes like romance, sex and fast life. They also deal with regret desires, regret, and emotional conflict. Brown has gained a cult following and wide comparisons to Michael Jackson for his stage presence.In 2004, Brown was signed to Jive Records, and released his self-titled debut studio album later that year, which was then declared triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The first single from his debut album, "Run It!" was released on 9th September. Brown's debut single "Run It!" reached the Billboard Hot 100 and was the first male artist to hit the top spot since 1995. The album that followed, Exclusive (2007), was a huge commercial success across the world, and it spawned the second Billboard Hot 100 number one "Kiss Kiss"In 2009, Brown pled guilty to felony assault of his then girlfriend, singer Rihanna. 12] The same year, he also released his third album, Graffiti that was deemed to be a commercial failure compared to his previous works. The fourth album by Brown, F.A.M.E., was released in the wake of Graffiti. Brown's fourth album, F.A.M.E. (2011) was his debut album to reach the top spot on the Billboard 200. It featured commercially successful singles: "Yeah 3x", "Look at Me Now" and "Beautiful People" which earned the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. The album he released in his fifth, Fortune, released in 2012 also made it to the top of the Billboard 200.
