Variety found the film to be a "refreshing change of pace with a strong cast." Silverstone spoke at the 2010 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. She was a guest on Children's Hospital (2011) and was offered a four-episode role in Suburgatory (2012). Silverstone returned to her Clueless castmate Jeremy Sisto. Silverstone was back on Broadway in 2012 for The Performers, a comedy show she performed at the Adult Film Award in Las Vegas. [62] The Longacre Theatre premiered the play in November, however, it was cancelled following 23 previews and seven regular performances due to the impact of Sandy. Sandy. In 2013, she shot the TV pilot HR, which was not picked up,[65and was a part of the Sundance comedy Ass Backwards. Kind Life follow-up book, The Kind Mama, was published.In 2015, Silverstone starred in the New York production of Of Good Stock the play that revolves around a group of siblings who gather at their home with their families to enjoy a long summer weekend. (69) Entertainment Weekly remarked that she was "magnetic even when she was an engaged narcissist, ditzy" sister, but The New York Times felt that her role was "the most cartoonish of the characters and an unrewarding one for [Silverstone], who tips into comic shrillness here". She was actor in the romantic comedy Who Gets the Dog? Ryan Kwanten portrayed a couple who are fighting over custody of their dog. The film was released straight to DVD. She was next seen in King Cobra (2016) as Brent Corrigan's mother. Silverstone played the role of a love interest in a sex outsider artist with bitter rivalries over a lifetime with a wealthy woman. The black comedy received largely favorable reviews and was released available for VOD and select theaters. [75The actress played Silverstone starred as a lead in three films in 2017, Diary of the Wimpy Kid, [76and The Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Tribes of Palos Verdes. She also made American Woman in July 2017. In her busy schedule she mentioned: "[T]hey were all happening at the same time. Everyone worked together. Yorgos director of the Sacred Dee director, was able to help us set our date. Diary of a Wimpy Kid also stayed on the schedule for a few weeks me. [79] The comedy The Long Haul, the fourth installment in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film series, had the actress play the ignorant and loving mother of the titular character. The film was criticised for its story-telling and the recasting of characters.
