Allen Iverson

 Allen Ezail Iverson (/'aIv@rs@n/ born on July 7 1975) is an American former professional basketball player.Nicknamed "the answer" the Answer, he played 14 seasons with the National Basketball Association (NBA) at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. Iverson was named the 1997 NBA Rookie of the Year Award winner. He was also an 11-time NBA All-Star as well as the MVP award winner for 2001 and 2005, and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2001. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in the year 2016. In the month of October, 2021, he was selected to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.Iverson is widely considered to be one of the greatest scorers and one of the most influential players in NBA historyIverson attended Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia, and was a dual-sport athlete. He was awarded the Associated Press High School Player Award in football and basketball and also won the Division 5 AAA Virginia State Championship in both sports. [9] Following high school, Iverson played college basketball with the Georgetown Hoyas for two years in which he set the school record for career scoring average (23.0 points per game) and won Big East Defensive Player of the Year honors both times.
