 Shery she is Shery, a Guatemalan Latin pop singer/songwriter, was born August 18, 1985. She has recorded songs in Spanish, Italian and has appeared on stage with international stars like Chayanne and Cristian Castro, Manuel Mijares and Miguel Bose, Enrique Iglesias and Vikki Carr, Aleks Syntek, and Vikki Car. Two of her own songs (namely "El amor is a fantasy" and "En la life and for siempre") have been finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, in New York City. "El amor es un fantasma" ("Love is a Ghost") the first album, was released in January 2008 after two and two-and-a-half years of work. The album's title is based upon the song that Shery created the first time she sang it.
