Vita Vea

 In the week 12 game, in a 35-22 victory against the Atlanta Falcons, Vea recorded a sack, a career-best two pass deflections, and also nabbed a one-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jameis Winston. Vea became the first player in history to score an sack during a game and also catch a touchdown catch from Winston, which makes him the ninth player to accomplish both. Vea started 16 games, recording 35 total tackles as well as 12 quarterback hits. He also recorded three passes defensed. Vea sustained fractures to his right leg when the tackle he made against David Montgomery, the Chicago Bears running back. Before the accident, Vea recorded one sack on Nick Foles during the 20-19 loss. Vea was placed on injured reserve on October 13, 2020.The team placed her on the reserve list on October 13, 2020. Vea was put by the team on the reserve/COVID-19list on November 28th the 28th of November, 2020. She was later transferred to injured reserve on December 5. Vea was activated from the injured reserve on the 22nd of January 2021. In Super Bowl LV, Vea made one tackle in the Buccaneers victory over the Kansas City ChiefsOn April 26, 2021, the Buccaneers picked up Vea's fifth-year option, securing Vea $7.6 million contract for the 2022 season In the Week 11 loss against the Washington Football Team, Vea suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter and was removed from the field.On January 8th, 2022 Vea agreed to a four-year, $73 million extension with the Buccaneers. Vea was named an alternate for Aaron Donald, defensive tackle following the Los Angeles Rams advanced to Super Bowl LVI.
