Valeri Bure

 Valeri Vladimirovich "Val" Bure (/'va:leri bU'reI/; Russian: Valerii Vladimirovich Bure, IPA: [va'ljerjIj bU're]; born June 13, 1974) is a Russian-Americanformer ice hockey right winger. He was a National Hockey League (NHL), ice hockey right winger for the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues and Montreal Canadiens. Bure was a second-round selection of the Canadiens in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. He was 33rd overall. In 1999-2000, Bure led the Flames with 35 goals and 75 goals. Bure and his brother Pavel have set the NHL record for siblings scoring more than 93 goals during the course of a season. Since 1996, he's been married to actress Candace Cameron Bure. In 1991 his departure from the Soviet Union to play junior hockey with the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League. A two-time WHL all-star and the very first Russian player to play in the history of the league. Internationally He played for Russia in numerous instances. He was a part of the bronze medal-winning squad at the 1994 World Junior Championship and was two times a medalist in the Winter Olympics. Bure and the Russians won bronze and silver in 2002.
