Tulsi Gabbard

 Tulsi Gabbard was born on the 12th of April 1981. She is an American politician and United States Army Reserve officer. Gabbard was the first Hindu member of Congress and also the first voting Samoan-American member of Congress. She was a candidate to run for Democratic nomination in the 2020 United States presidential election, before leaving the party and becoming an independent the month of October 2022.In 2002, Gabbard was elected to the Hawaii House of Representatives at the age of 21.bard was a member of the field medical section that was part of the Hawaii Army National Guard while stationed in Iraq from 2004 to 2005. She also served in Kuwait from 2008 until 2009, as an Army Military Police platoon leader. She was an elected Member of Congress and served as vice-chair of the DNC from 2013 until 2016. In 2016, she resigned in order to support Bernie Sanders' 2016 Democratic presidential nomination campaign.
