Tulsi Gabbard

 Tulsi Gabbard (/'t^lsi "'gaeb@rd/, born on April 12th, 1981) is an American politician, United States Army Reserve officer and political commentator who served as the U.S. representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district from 2013 until 2021. Gabbard was the first Hindu member of Congress and also the first American Samoan to vote of Congress. Gabbard at the age of at the age of 21 ran for the 2020 United States presidential election for the Democratic nomination. She was declared an independent in the month of October 2022 and was elected to the Hawaii House of Representatives in 2002. Gabbard was a member in Congress as well as a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard's field medical section. She was also stationed in Iraq during 2004-2005 as an Army Military Police leader. In 2016 she resigned as vice chair of DNC and supported Bernie Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign.
