Anna (Frozen)

Anna of Arendelle (/’a:n@Anna of Arendelle (/’a:n@/) is a fictional character, was featured in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 53rd animated movie Frozen (2013) as well as its sequel Frozen II (2019). The voice of Anna is provided by Kristen Bell as an adult. At the beginning of the film, Livvy Stubenrauch and Katie Lopez provide her speaking and singing voice as an infant and a teenager, respectively. Agatha Lee Monn portrayed her as nine-year-old (singing). In Frozen II, Hadley Gannaway provided her voice as a child, and Stubenrauch was the archive audio.Created by co-writers and directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, Anna is loosely based on Gerda, a character in the Danish fairytale "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen. The Disney film adaptation portrays Anna as the princess of Arendelle. Anna is the younger sister to Elsa (Idina Mezel), the heiress of the throne. She also has the elemental ability of creating and controlling ice as well as snow. When Elsa is exiled from the kingdom after accidentally sending Arendelle into an endless winter during the night of her coronation, fearless and faithful Anna is determined to set out on a risky journey to save her sister and save her kingdom and her family. traditional fairytale and the story of the Snow Queen in particular posed long-term problems to adapt into a feature-length production. Many film executives such as Walt Disney, made their efforts to tell the story but several adaptations were put aside because the filmmakers could not work out the characters. Finally, directors Buck and Lee resolved the problem by portraying Anna and Elsa as sisters, establishing an interesting relationship between the two characters.
