Tom Selleck

 Thomas William Selleck (/'selIk/ born on 29 January 1945) is an American actor. His most well-known character was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. The actor was nominated five times for Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (1980-1988), and was awarded the Emmy Award in 1985. In the series Blue Bloods, Selleck has played Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he has been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in a small-town New York City. In addition, he has appeared in nine television movies inspired by Robert B. Parker novels.
