 Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th 1989) is an American musician and singer. Swift's discography covers a variety of kinds of music and her songwriting, often in the form of her personal life has attracted a wide range of press attention and critical acclaim. Born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Swift made the move to Nashville at the age of 14 to become a country artist. In 2004 she signed an arrangement for songwriting with Sony/ATV Music Publishing and in 2005, she signed a recording agreement with Big Machine Records. The first female country singer to co-write or compose an U.S.-certified platinum album with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in the year 2004. The two first country songs that reached the top of the U.S. all-genre and pop airplay charts were "Love Story" (the former) and "You Are My Friend". She tried out electronic and rock styles in Red (2012) and featured the first Billboard Hot 100 number-one song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", and eschewed her image as a country singer in her synth-pop album, 1989 (2014) and was supported by chart-topping tracks "Shake It Off", "Blank Space", and "Bad Blood". Reputation was a hip-hop-infused album with the number-one hit "Look What You Made Me Do", was in response to media attention.
