Bobby Lee

Lee was employed in a variety of positions at cafes and restaurants before embarking on a career in comedy. The cafe where he was employed suddenly shut down in 1994. "I simply went to the next one to get a job," he said, "which was The Comedy Store in San Diego" (also known as the La Jolla Comedy Store) After a couple of months of doing odd tasks at the club, it was decided to give stand-up a go at one of their comedy night events. After about a year of regular comedy shows, Lee was offered the opportunity to open for Carlos Mencia and Pauly Shore. Lee admitted that his parents did not support his stand-up comedy for the first couple of years. However the father of his son called him after he appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. His younger brother has also been featured on MADtv as a non-speaking character and the entire family has been in sketches on the show. Lee also pitched a sitcom to Comedy Central in 2007 about an ethnically diverse Korean family which was to be starring his family. family.Lee was the host of the 9th MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert in 2013.
