Bullock began her acting career in 1987 in a tiny part in Hangmen (1987). Bullock became famous for her role in the supporting part of Demolition Man (1993). After her breakthrough role in Speed (1994) she was soon recognized for her lead parts in the romantic comedy While You Were Sleeping (1995), as well as the dramas Hope Floats (1998) and A Time to Kill (1996). She achieved further success over the next decade through comedy films Miss Congeniality (2000), Two Weeks Notice (2002), The Proposal (2009), The Heat (2013), Ocean's 8 (2018), and The Lost City (2022) and the two dramas Crash (2004) and The Unforgivable (2021) as well as the action thrillers Premonition (2007) as well as Bird Box (2018).
