Sanaa

Sanaa (Arabic: San`a, San'a` [s?an?a :?], Yemeni Arabic Sanaa: ['s?an?a]; Old South Arabian: Sn'w) Also spelled Sana'a or Sana, is the capital and the largest city in Yemen and is the center of Sanaa Governorate. Sanaa isn't part of the governorate however, it is part of the administrative district called "`Amanat al-'Asima" ('mn@ lSm@). Under the Yemeni constitution, Sanaa is the capital of the country, but the seat of the Yemeni government has moved to Aden, the former capital of South Yemen in the aftermath of the Houthi occupation. In March 2015, Yemen's President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi declared Aden the capital city for a period of time. It is situated at 2,300 meters (7,500 feet) above sea level. In between Jabal An-Nabi Sho'ayb and Jabal Tiyal are the Sarawat Mountains and Jabal Tiyal, which are the highest mountains within the nation. Sanaa is Yemen's most populous city, with a population of 3,937kilo (2012). As of 2020, the greater Sanaa urban area comprises around 10% of Yemen's total population
