Marzia Kjellberg

On the 22nd of October, 2018, Kjellberg uploaded an interview to her channel to announce her retirement from her YouTube channel. In the video she mentioned that at some point during her YouTube career, focusing on the site kept her in a state of mind that caused mental stress, although she resolved to connect with others. She ended her video explaining that she was ready to experience "something new in [her] life." The last video she uploaded was her vlog and then decided to remove her videos. One comment was left on the video, stating that "having videos up after this decision would have seemed like taking another step back." I have selected those I like and will put them up for a while during the adjustment time. But I decided that it was imperative to take down my videos. In the hours prior to her announcement her YouTube channel had more than 128 million video views and just below 7.5 million subscribers. Her YouTube channel's views increased to 570 million in August 2017.
