Maria Bello

 Bello first made an appearance on TV in the episodes of The Commish (1991), Due South (94), Nowhere Man (95), Misery Loves Company(95) and ER (1997-98). Her breakthrough was when she was a part of the cast as Mrs. Smith in the TV series spy show Mr. & Mrs. Smith, though the show was cancelled after just eight weeks. Following her appearance in the final three episodes of season 3 on ER the show, she was given the role of Dr. Anna Del Amico in the role of pediatrician. She continued to appear in the fourth season, and was a regular actor in the finale season. In 2000, Coyote Ugly (2000) was her first film appearance. She was nominated twice for the Golden Globe award: Best Supporting Actress for The Cooler (2003), as well as Best Actress in A History of Violence (2006). She starred in The Jane Austen Book Club (2007) as Jocelyn and Dr. Alex Sabian in the 2005 film Assault on Precinct 13, an adaptation of the film from 1976, directed by John Carpenter. She was replaced by Rachel Weisz in 2008 with the part of Evelyn O'Connell in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. In December 2008, Bello began developing a drama for HBO. Bello did not just star in the series but also wanted to become the executive producer. She starred in The Yellow Handkerchief 2009, the drama film of Samuel Goldwyn Films.
