Judge Mathis

 Judge Mathis is an American syndicated arbitration based reality court show. It was developed by Judge Greg Mathis who is a former judge of Michigan's 36th District Court. Judge Mathis is seen deciding small claims disputes in his courtroom. This was the first-run broadcast that was syndicated. The show has been NAACP Image Award winning, and also the first court show featuring an African American jurist to win Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Show. Judge Mathis is produced by Telepictures Productions and Syndicated Productions and it is distributed through Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.The courtroom drama is filmed in the studio at the NBC Tower in Chicago however, it also features litigants and cases from other U.S. jurisdictions.Of the court shows currently in production, Judge Mathis is the third longest-running show, which is behind only Divorce Court and The People's Court, respectively. Of the 3 court shows, however, only Judge Mathis has had a continuous series run, never suspended by series cancellations/revival reincarnations. As Divorce Court and The People's Court have also had multiple casting changes for judges, Mathis is the second longest-running judge on the history of court shows on television, behind only Judy Sheindlin (Judge Judy and Judy Justice) by 3 years. 6. Judge Mathis' 24th season was launched on September 5, 2022.
