Eric Thomas

 Thomas was born in Chicago and raised in Detroit. Thomas was the sole child of a teenage mother. After a series of arguments with his parents and aunts, he dropped out of high school and remained rough on the streets of Detroit for two years. The homeless man encountered a preacher, who encouraged him to return to school and make a change in his life. He also got the job of an Olive Garden on the westside of Detroit. Thomas and De-De Mosley met at the Detroit Center Seventh-day Adventist Church in the early years of. They then moved to Huntsville, Alabama, attended Oakwood University, and they were married as college students. Thomas worked for twelve years toward an Oakwood undergraduate degree before graduating in 2001.
