Johnny Depp

 John Christopher Depp II (born on June 9 1963) is an American musician and actor. Numerous awards have been presented to Depp such as the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Golden Globe Award. He was also nominated for three Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards as well as Platoon (1986). Depp became famous for his role as an 21 Jump Street teen idol (1987-1990). In the 1990s, Depp acted mostly in independent films with auteur directors who often cast odd characters. These include Cry-Baby (1990), What's eating Gilbert Grape (1993), Benny and Joon (1993), Dead Man (1995), Donnie Brasco (1997), and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). Depp started his long-running partnership with Tim Burton by portraying the protagonists of the films Edward Scissorhands (1990), Ed Wood (944) and Sleepy Hollow (99). In the 2000s, Depp was also a star in the Walt Disney swashbuckler series Pirates of the Caribbean (2003–2017). The actor also received praise from critics for Chocolat (2000), Finding Neverland (2004) and Public Enemies (2009), in addition to continuing his commercially successful partnership with Tim Burton with the films Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) in which Depp portrayed Willy Wonka, Corpse Bride (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), and Alice in Wonderland (2010).
