Rohn was the distributor for Shoaff's direct selling business AbundaVita in 1955. In 1957, Rohn quit AbundaVita to join Nutri-Bio, a direct-selling company. The founders of the company as well as Shoaff, started to mentor him. Rohn was able to build one of the most successful businesses in the world because of the mentorship. Rohn was invited by the Rotary Club to speak at the club's annual meeting after Nutri-Bio ended its operations in 1960.
