Ja Morant

 Temetrius Jamel "Ja" Morant (born on August 10, 1999) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "G12", he played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Murray State Racers, where he was a consensus first-team All-American as an sophomore in 2019.Morant was not a lot of sought-after by NCAA Division I programs , and was not ranked by recruiting services despite being named All-Region Most Valuable Player three times and receiving All-State recognition at Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina. He made an immediate impact during his time at Murray State University as a freshman, earning first-team OVC conference awards. Morant had a stellar sophomore year that led to him winning OVC Player of the Year award as well as leading the NCAA in assists. In his sophomore year, Morant also became the first player in NCAA history to average 20+ points and 10plus assists per game. He was the second first overall selection of the Grizzlies in the 2019 NBA Draft, and was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2020. Morant was selected to the 2022 NBA All Star Game as the team's captain and was also awarded the NBA Most Improved Player Award. He was also added for the All-NBA 2022 Team.
