Sally Nugent

 She began her media career at BBC Radio Merseyside. Later she transitioned to writing and reading the news about sports on BBC North West Tonight. In 2003 she became a sports reporter at BBC News, appearing on national bulletins. Later, she became a sports news anchor on the BBC News Channel (known at the time as BBC News 24). She was also a Sportsday anchor from Germany when she was in Germany to attend the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Nugent worked as journalist on radio and TV, in addition to being an anchor for the BBC News Channel. Nugent started co-presenting BBC Breakfast as a freelancer in November of 2011. After the transfer to Media City, Salford in April 2012, Nugent began co-presenting sports news bulletins on Breakfast. After a Christmas Eve appearance 2012 alongside Bill Turnbull, she established herself as a regular presenter for Breakfast. She continued to report on the historic victory of Emma Raducanu at the US Open tennis tournament.
