Graham McTavish

McTavish was born in Glasgow, Scotland He is the son of Alec and Ellen McTavish. His family was involved in politics, particularly his father. The topic of politics was very common within their home. His family left Glasgow at the time McTavish was a kid, and throughout his adult life, he has resided in countries like Canada and the United States, and England before moving to New Zealand.During school, McTavish and a friend wrote and performed sketches that were funny and this resulted in his drama teacher asking him to step in to fill in a role in the play of Sheridan The Rivals after the principal actor fell ill. McTavish then went to Queen Mary University of London and was awarded a degree in the field of English literature instructor. The degree program allowed him to perform in three Shakespeare plays a year at school, and it led to McTavish receiving his Equity card after performing in a production by Samuel Beckett
