Alex Trebek

 After completing his education, Trebek began his career in 1961 working for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Trebek stated that he went to school in mornings and worked in the evenings. He took on all of it, replacing every announcer at once. Trebek would later read CBC radio news, and report on diverse special events for CBC Radio, CBC Television and CBC Radio. He was the first host of the Canadian music show called Music Hop in 1963. [20] In 1966 the year he hosted a high-school quiz show titled Reach for the Top. From 1967 until 1970 He was the host of the CBC, introducing classical music shows, which included shows of Glenn Gould. He was host of the weekly skating show for a couple of seasons. Trebek hosted Strategy which was a weekly game show that was broadcast in the afternoon, which began on April 1st, 1969. Trebek hosted Strategy the weekday afternoon game show, beginning April 1st, 1969, until 1972. Ralph Mellanby preferred Trebek as his executive producer. However, Mellanby stated that he chose Dave Hodge in 2020 because his boss did not want someone sporting a mustache as host of Hockey Night.
