Scottie Pippen

 Scotty Maurice Pippen Sr. [3][4] was born on September 25, 1965, and is commonly spelled Scottie Pippen. He is an American former professional basketball athlete. He played for the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 17 years, and won six NBA championships together with his team, the Chicago Bulls. One of the most admired small forwards ever, Pippen, along with Michael Jordan, played an crucial role in the transformation of the Bulls into an elite team and increasing the popularity of the NBA around the world during the 1990s.Pippen was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team eight consecutive times and the All-NBA First Team three times. He was a seven-time NBA All-Star and was the NBA All-Star Game MVP in 1994. He was listed as one of the 50 greatest Players in NBA History during the 1996-97 season. He is also the fourth player to get his jersey retired by the Chicago Bulls (the others being Jerry Sloan, Bob Love, and Jordan). He was a key player of the Chicago Bulls Championship 1992 team and also on the Chicago Bulls Championship 1996 team. Both teams were recognized as being among the Top 10 in NBA History. His bio on the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame's website states that "the multidimensional Pippen played the court as a point guard, attacked the boards as a power forward and swished the nets like a shooting guard". In his 17-year playing career, he played 12 seasons with the Bulls, one with the Houston Rockets and four with the Portland Trail Blazers, making the playoffs 16 times in a row. Pippen was selected to the NBA 75th anniversary team in the month of October 2021. He is the only NBA player who has won the NBA title as well as the Olympic gold medal at the same time twice. It happened in 1992 and 1996. The player was member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic "Dream Team" which defeated its rivals by an average of 44 points. Also, he was a crucial figure on the 1996 Olympic team, alongside other former "Dream Team" players Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, and David Robinson, as well as newer faces such as Shaquille O'Neal, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and Grant Hill. He was a number 8 player during both years.Pippen is a two-time inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice, at first for his personal career and once as a part of the "Dream Team" He was simultaneously inducted for both on August 13, 2010. 10. On the 8th of December, 2005 the Bulls have retired his number 33. His number 33 was removed by the University of Central Arkansas on January 21, 2010.
