Mike Tyson

 American former professional boxer Michael Gerard Tyson was born on June 30 in 1966. Tyson fought in the ring from 1985 until 2005. Tyson was known as "Iron Mike" in his early career, and "Kid Dynamite" later on during his professional career, is widely regarded as to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. From 1987 until 1990 Tyson was the reigning champion of the heavyweight world division. Tyson was able to win his first 19 professional bouts via knockout. Twelve of them were within the opening round. Tyson was 20 years, four months, and 22 days old at the time the first time he took home a heavyweight title holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to hold the title. Tyson was the first heavyweight boxer to have was able to hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles at the same time. He was also the first person to combine the three titles simultaneously. Tyson was named the champion of the line in 1990, when he beat Michael Spinks within 91 seconds. Tyson lost to Buster Douglas in 1990 in one of the biggest fights in boxing history. Tyson was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison however he was released after three years of parole. Tyson was released in 1995 and was involved in a number of fights to come back. In 1996, Tyson was able to regain the WBA title as well as the WBC titles. This enabled him to join Floyd Patterson and Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield as the sole boxers to win the title of heavyweight after losing the title. Tyson was removed from his WBC title in the same year, and also lost his WBA title to Evander Hollyfield in the eleventh round. Tyson struck Holyfield's ears in 1997, and the fight was finished. The bite was believed to be strong enough to cause Holyfield to lose a portion of his right ear. Tyson lost the world title in 2002 to Lennox Lewis by knockout. Tyson was ranked 16th on The Ring's 100 Greatest Punchers list (14) and was the first to be included on ESPN's "The Most Hard-hitting Fighters in Heavyweight History" list. Sky Sports called him "perhaps the most fierce boxer ever to step into a professional arena." He was inducted into both the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
