 Eva de la Caridad Mendez, pronounced /'mendez/ Spanish: ['eba de la Kari'dad Mendes] was born on the 5th of March 1974. Eva Mendes is an American actress and model. Her acting career began in the latter part of the 1990s with a series of roles in films like Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) and Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000).Mendes's performance in Training Day (2001) marked the turning point of her career, and was the catalyst for her roles in the highly commercially successful films 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and Hitch (2005). Ghost Rider (2008) and The Spirit (2008) were adaptations of comics. Then she moved to a more dramatic direction with We Own the Night, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans 2009, Last Night (2010) and The Place Beyond the Pines (2012). Out of Time (2003) and The Women (2008) were her other films. She also starred in Girl in Progress (2010) and The Other Guys (2010). She also serves as the creative director of CIRCA Beauty, a Walgreens makeup line. Ryan Gosling, a Canadian actor, has been living with her since the year 2011.
