Demetria Devonne Lovato (/l@'va:toU/ l@-VAH'-toh; born on 20 August 1992) popularly referred to as Demi Lovato is an American musician, singer, and actress. After her appearance in the television show for children Barney & Friends (2002-2004), Lovato rose to prominence as the character Mitchie Torres on the musical television movie Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010). The original film's soundtrack included "This is Me", Lovato's debut single and duets with Joe Jonas, which peaked at number nine on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Lovato signed with Hollywood Records and released Don't Forget (2008) which was her pop-rock debut album. It debuted at number 2 on the U.S. charts. Billboard 200. Here We Go Again (2008), the follow-up to the album, debuted at the top of the charts at one in the U.S. and its title track reached 15 on the Hot 100. The album that she released as her third studio album, Unbroken (2011), experimented with pop and R&B and resulted in the U.S. platinum-certified single "Skyscraper". Her fourth album in 2013 that debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, and contained the top-ten international song "Heart Attack". Lovato's sixth and five albums, Confident (2015), and Tell Me You Love Me (2016) and Tell Me You Love Me (2016), were packed with mature and soulful themes. Confident earned her the Grammy Award nomination. "Sorry Not Sorry", which was the first single from Tell Me You love Me was a top six hit on the U.S. charts. The album she released as her seventh Dancing with the Devil... the art of starting Over came out in 2021. It reached number two in the U.S. and her eighth album Holy Fvck was released in 2022.
