Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born on April 24 on the 24th of April, 1982. She is an American singer-songwriter, author, and television personality. Her fame was boosted after winning the first season of American Idol in 2002, which earned her a record deal with RCA. "A Moment Like This" was her first single that was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. It also became the nation's highest-selling single in 2002. It was featured on her debut album, Thankful (2003), which debuted atop the Billboard 200. Clarkson was determined to reinvent herself and resigned from Idol management to focus on the pop genre in the form of Breakaway (2004). Breakaway was supported by four US Top Ten singles, including the album's title track, "Since U Have Been Gone", "Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "Because of You". The album sold more than 12 million copies around the world and earned her two Grammy Awards. Clarkson also was in charge of the creative direction of her third album My December (2006) by writing all songs, and also serving as its executive producer. The label was not happy with the album's more dark rock music, and she reluctantly promoted it. The singer's fourth and fifth studio albums, The Best I Ever Wanted (2009) and Stronger (2011) was a return to a lighter tone and pop rock sound, with the former becoming her second US number-one album , and the latter becoming the first musician to be awarded the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album twice. Both albums produced an Hot 100 number one single, "My Life Would Suffer Without You" which holds the record of the biggest jump to number 1 in chart history. "Stronger (What does not cause death)" was her highest-selling single in the world. Clarkson then had the best-selling Christmas album of all time with Wrapped in Red (2013). The single from the album, "Underneath the Tree", was named the ASCAP's most popular Christmas song that was released in the 21st century. [4] Her seventh studio album, Piece by Piece (2015), debuted at number-one in the US and its song's title track made it into the top ten. After leaving RCA and signing with Atlantic in 2016, Clarkson released her soul-influenced eighth album, Meaning of Life (2017), and her second album for Christmas, When Christmas Comes Around... (2021).
