George Strait

 Strait's first hit single, "Unwound", was released in 1981. It marked the mainstream growth of the Neotraditional movement and the rejection of pop-country. During the 1980s, seven of his albums made it to number one on the charts of country. In the 2000s, Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame and was awarded his first Grammy award for his album Troubadour. Strait was awarded CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989, 1990 and 2013, as well as ACM Entertainer of the Year in 1990 and in 2014. Strait was named CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989 as well as 1990 and 2013 and ACM Entertainer of the Year in both 1990 and 2014. His 60 number one singles are his record. [9] "Give It All We Got Tonight" was the number one song in 2013, breaking the record previously set by Twitty. Strait is the only artist to have the most number-one songs in every genre of music. "Strait is also famous for his tours in which he created an all-round configuration and launched festivals-style tours. Strait Tours made $99 million over three years. [12] In June of 2014, his last performance on The Cowboy Rides Away Tour was held at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas. The concert attracted an audience of 104 793 and set a new indoor record.
