Thandiwe Newton

 Melanie Thandiwe Newton OBE (/'taendi:weI/ TAN-dee-way; born 6 November 1972), formerly credited as Thandie Newton, is a British actress. Newton has been awarded numerous times, including the British Academy Film Award, an award from the Primetime Emmy Award, and two Golden Globe nominations. In 2019, she was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire. The actress was also nominated for the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress in her role in the role of DCI Roz Huntley on the BBC drama series Line of Duty in 2017.
