Richard Morgan Fliehr[6][a] was born on February 25 in 1949. He was known as Ric Flair. The career of Flair spans nearly 50 years and is considered by journalists and peers alike[8]. The most famous part of his career is his involvement working for Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), later WWE. He spent a lot of his time with JCP and WCW where he won many titles. He has been known as "The Nature Boy" since the mid-1970s. Flair was a major pay-per view attraction during his time. He headlined Starrcade which is the annual NWA/WCW event. In 1992, Flair also co-headlined WrestleMania's WWF counterpart. Flair was the Wrestler Of The Year at PWI Six times. Wrestling Observer Newsletter voted him the The Wrestler of the Year eight times. He is the first twice WWE Hall of Fame inductee, first inducted with the class of 2008 for his own career, and then in 2012 as a member of The Four Horsemen, he is also a member of the NWA Hall of Fame, and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
