Poppy Montgomery

Montgomery's big break was winning the part of Marilyn Monroe in the 2001 CBS miniseries Blonde, based on a Joyce Carol Oates novel. The next job she was offered was a starring part as Samantha Spade on the CBS mystery drama Without a Trace. The show revolved around a missing-persons unit of the FBI in New York City. When she was offered the role, she later said, "They (the producers) called me up and said"Would you be willing to play it Do you want to do it?' I said"Yes," and they said, 'Anthony's LaPaglia will be in the film' and I replied, 'sure'. It was as easy as that." Montgomery portrayed Samantha Spade seven seasons. The show ran from September 2002 to 19 May 2009. Montgomery was the Harry Potter creator J. K. Rowling. She starred in Unforgettable which is a CBS drama that follows an ex-homicide detective. The character suffers from hyperthymesia which allows her to recall everything and utilizes her memory to solve crimes. The first season included 22 episodes. CBS cancelled it on May 12 2012. Unforgettable was then renewed for a second season, featuring 13 episodes from July 2013 until May 2014, and a final season, with 13 episodes from June 2014 until September 2014. [15] CBS cancelled Unforgettable in October 2014. The cancellation came after the end of the third season. A&E purchased the series in February of 2015 for a fourth season with 13 episodes. The show was canceled in February 2016 after it was aired on A&E for 13 episodes from November 2015 to January 2016.
