Mariska Hargitay

 Hargitay was born in Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, the daughter of actress and 1950s sexual symbol Jayne Mansfield. Her father was Mickey Hargitay, a former Mr. Universe who was Hungarian. Her initials and middle names are Hungarian and are a reference to Mary Magdalene. (Mariska is an abbreviated name for Mary). Her family was Catholic, and she has two older brothers, Miklos, and Zoltan. 5. Hargitay was born to divorced parents in the month of May 1963. However, a judge declared the Mexican divorce invalid. They had been reconciled two months before Hargitay's birth in the month of January 1964. They later broke up again. In August 1964, Hargitay's mother successfully petitioned the court to rule the Mexican divorce legal. Mansfield was married to Matt Cimber, the director who had previously directed her in the production in 1964 of William Inge's Bus Stop. Cimber and Mansfield filed for divorce in 1966. 6 Mansfield was involved in an automobile accident along U.S. Route 90, between New Orleans, and Bay St. Louis (Mississippi). The crash ripped away the roof of the car which instantly killed Mansfield as well as her boyfriend Sam Brody, and the driver. Mariska who is now three and a half years old, lay in bed at the back of the car , with the zigzag marks on her forehead. Her brothers, Miklos and Zoltan, were spared with only minor injuries. Following the passing of their mother, the three siblings were cared for by their father and his wife of three years Ellen Sian Hargitay doesn't like comparisons with her famous mother and, at the age of 18, she said, "My dad was Mr. Universe, so it would be enjoyable for me to be Miss Universe". Hargitay claims that the death of her mother left "a hole in my life that won't ever be filled. I'll never be able to get over it. "I will forever be a daughter who lost her mother" Hargitay, age 80 was diagnosed with multiple myeloma at Los Angeles, California in 2006.
