Kristy Swanson

Swanson began her acting career by studying with R. J. Adams at The Actors Workshop. She quickly became a TV advertising and appeared in a handful of special TV shows like Cagney and Lacey and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. In 1986, she made her screen debut with Pretty In Pink (a role which was not speaking) as well as Ferris Bueller's Day Off (a character that offers a twisted excuse for Ferris for not attending class). In 1986 she was cast in Wes Craven's Deadly Friend as Samantha, "the girl closest to". She was Cathy in the V. C. Andrews adaptation of Flowers in the Attic the following year. Swanson describes how she was chosen for the role in Pretty in Pink. Since we tried it in the theater and it did not work, so I was interested to know whether you'd be willing to be a part of this scene. We would like the character to be with someone other than him in the final. Would you like to take on the role? ""By 1990, Swanson was a regular on a variety of TV shows, including numerous appearances on Knots making their debut (1987-1988), Nightingales (89) and her debut starring role in the television show. But, it ran just one season. Stryker (1989).
